Our Administration Team consists of the Administrative Assistant, Admissions Coordinator, Business Manager, and Head of School.  Each member plays a vital role in keeping the school running smoothly, making thoughtful decisions with student success at the heart of it all. They work collaboratively to ensure that students, families, and staff have the guidance and support they need to thrive.

Administrative Assistant

Janet Cooper has served Landmark East School in her role as the Administrative Assistant since 1984. With her warmth, charm, and deep knowledge of the school, Janet ensures that every inquiry feels personal, helpful, and inviting. Whether you're calling with questions or looking to learn more about our community, Janet will make your experience seamless and friendly from the very first hello.

Christy-May Thomson

Business Manager

Christy-May Thomson joined the Landmark East School team in November of 2025 as our Business Manager. Christy-May grew up in South Africa and moved to Canada two years ago with her two boys and husband. She has worked in the Financial industry for many years, processing various accounting needs including AP/AR, General Ledgers, payroll Time-sheets, Financial Statements and various reports - monthly, quarterly and year-end.

Karen Fougere

Head of School

Karen Fougere brings over 35 years of teaching and leadership experience from both the public and independent school sectors of education. Most of her career was focused on ensuring students with learning differences have the tools they need to be successful in order to unlock their inner potential. Karen joined Landmark East as the Head of School in 2019 and says that working here is an incredible honour.
