The Landmark East Athletic Centre represents a significant investment in our students, our school, and the broader Annapolis Valley community. Designed to support athletics, wellness, recreation, school celebrations, and community events, this new facility will enhance the student experience while creating new opportunities for community engagement and connection.

A Place to Play, Compete, Celebrate and Connect
The Landmark East Athletic Centre is being designed to support a wide range of athletic, recreational, wellness, and community activities for students and residents throughout the Annapolis Valley.

The facility will feature a regulation-size gymnasium with the flexibility to accommodate up to three basketball courts, three volleyball courts, four badminton courts, and four pickleball courts. Combined with a variety of multi-sport and recreation equipment, the Centre will provide opportunities for competition, physical activity, skill development, fitness programming, and recreational play.

Beyond athletics, the Athletic Centre will serve as a gathering place for school ceremonies, special events, tournaments, community programs, celebrations, and meetings. Designed with flexibility in mind, the space will support both the educational mission of Landmark East School and the evolving needs of our surrounding community.

Whether you're participating in a sporting event, attending a school celebration, joining a community program, or simply connecting with others, the Athletic Centre will be a place where people come together to learn, grow, compete, celebrate, and build lasting connections.

Construction Progress
What began as a vision to enhance the student experience and create new opportunities for community engagement is now becoming a reality.

Significant progress has been made on site, including excavation, site preparation, foundation work, and the installation of structural supports. Most recently, crews have completed the gymnasium floor concrete pour—an important milestone that marks the transition from groundwork to the construction of the facility itself.
​
Each stage of the project brings us one step closer to opening a modern, multi-purpose Athletic Centre that will serve Landmark East School students and the broader Annapolis Valley community for generations to come.
