Admissions Application Process

The Admissions Journey

At Landmark East School, admissions is not a checklist, it’s a conversation. Our goal is to truly understand your child and your family, and to take the time needed to decide whether Landmark East School is the right school for your child.

Above all, we want this process to feel respectful, transparent, and supportive. Choosing a school is a big decision—and we walk this journey with you, every step of the way.

It begins with a conversation.
Every admissions journey starts with an initial call or meeting where we listen. You’ll share your child’s story: their strengths, struggles, and what has brought you to this moment. And we’ll talk openly about whether Landmark East School may be the right next step.

Next comes the application.

Families complete an application package, including academic records and supporting documentation. This helps us build a fuller picture of your child as a learner and as a person.

Come visit—tour and talk.
We then invite families to campus for a tour and a deeper conversation. This is a chance to experience the school, ask questions, and begin to imagine your child as part of our community

Experience Days: seeing it for yourself.
Experience Days are a meaningful part of our process. They allow students to step into the rhythm of the school and help us understand how we can best support them.

​

  • Day students usually attend for two days.

  • Boarding students typically stay for four to five days, often including a weekend.

 

These days matter—for students, families, and our team.

​

A conversation with the student and family.
Following the Experience Days, we meet with the student and family together. This interview is a chance to reflect, ask honest questions, and talk about readiness, fit, and what might be possible moving forward.

An admissions decision.
The Admissions Team reviews all data collected during the application process and makes an admissions decision. If Landmark East School is the right place and it makes sense for everyone involved, then students may begin right away (if space is available). With rolling admissions, we are ready when your child is ready.

Application Package

All documents should be forwarded to Admissions or dropped off at the main office of Landmark East School, faxed, or mailed to the address found on the bottom of this page.

 A complete application includes of the following:

​

  • Completed Student Application Form

  • A recent photograph of your child as part of the application form

  • Psychoeducational assessment report (administered within 3 years of this application date)

  • School reports and transcripts (from the past 2 years)

  • Confidential school reference letter (the form is included in the package and should be given to a member of your child’s current school)

  • Parent letter (demonstrating your commitment to the structure, programs, policies and guidelines of Landmark East)

  • Student Personal Reflection

  • Work samples (written expression and mathematics)

  • Include other clinical reports (if applicable)

  • $100 CAD non-refundable application fee (cash, cheque, credit card, or e-Transfer)
