Landmark East School is very proud to announce the outstanding performance of two students in the Annapolis Valley Regional Science Fair held at the NSCC Kingstec campus March 25 to 28.
Emily B.,(left) 14 was awarded a silver medal for her science project on ‘Morphin’ Milk’ – she showed how to turn milk into plastic.
Marika H., 13 was awarded a bronze medal for her project on ‘Solubility Rates’ –she showed how heat changes the solubility rates of sugar and salt.
‘This year we had 22 students participate in the Middle School Science Fair. The judges took note of the students enthusiasm, knowledge and commitment to their projects and it paid off. Parents, guests and judges were all impressed with the quality of the students work and their presentation skills. This is my twenty-first year being part of the Science Fair and I couldn’t be more proud of all the students who participants said Wendi MacLeod-Place, Science Dept.
