Landmark East School, 708 Main Street, Wolfville, is hosting a free two evening workshop entitled “Parents as Career Coaches” April 2 and 4 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.
The program is an initiative of the Province of Nova Scotia and features Alan Cuvelier of the Department of Community Services. It comes highly recommended by professional educators and parents alike.
This acclaimed program helps parents to engage in productive discussions with their teenager, to better understand today’s labour market and skills needed, to discover career websites and other resources to explore education and work options, and to help their child develop their skills and interests to assist them explore career choices.
This past weekend the LME wrestling team attended the Atlantic High School Wrestling Festival. This is the biggest wrestling tournament east of Montreal. Schools and clubs from Nova Scotia, PEI, and New Brunswick were in competition Our wrestlers once again did the school proud with their performances and hard work.

Next tournament is Friday Feb.22 and 23 at Forest Heights Community school in Chester, Nova Scotia. We will need to be there at 1pm on Friday the 22nd for weigh in. Wrestling begins at 5pm until 9pm on the Friday evening, It resumes Saturday morning at 9am until finish. The top 4 in each division will advance to provincials on March 1 and 2nd.
On Saturday, January 12, 2013, members of Landmark East’s wrestling team attended a tournament in Windsor, Nova Scotia.
“The results of yesterdays wrestling tournament were absolutely fantastic. I am extremely proud of the group of wrestlers who came and wrestled their hearts out,” said Mike Elliott, Landmark’s wrestling coach.
“These students have worked extremely hard in practice and it paid off yesterday. We have more to do, to improve, but this was an excellent way to start the season! Special thanks to Ms. Callaghan for her support and the kitchen for providing us with well needed nourishment! We had some parents there to cheer us on and take pictures as well as Ms. Boudreau in attendance. Mr. Goode brought students from the school to watch and showed what great school support we have.”

Our Headmaster, Peter Coll, will be visiting Hong Kong May 3rd to 8th to share information about Landmark East School with interested parents and educators of children with learning differences. He will be hosting free information talks in Discovery Bay and Central at the following locations:
