All parents of Landmark East are automatically members of Landmark East Association.  The Association involves parents in the non-academic activities of the school in a variety of ways and you are encouraged to become an active member and to have a voice in our organization.  Our parents have the imagination, determination, contacts and resources to make the school a success and be a supportive and meaningful part of your child’s school environment.

Parent-Teacher Partnership
A partnership between parents and teachers, working together for the benefit of the student, is the foundation of the programs at Landmark East.  How we relate to each other will be reflected in the attitude of the student.  Parents, faculty and staff need to support each other, which in turn promotes a consistent and healthy home and school environment for students.  It is this consistency that helps students to focus on their objectives, free of the obstacles associated with conflict.  We must work together to emphasize the student's gains and explain the alternatives and strategies that overcome roadblocks to learning.  A simple rule solves most of the issues: Communication and then participate – together.

Communication
It is very important for parents to keep Landmark East informed of any changes in contact information (mailing address, email address, telephone numbers, etc).  If parents plan to be away at any time, the school must be notified where they can be reached in case of emergency.  Also parents must advise Landmark East of any change in marital status, sickness or death in a family that may affect the student.

We look forward to you becoming part of the Landmark East community.
