Landmark East contracts the assessment services of a psychologist to administer psychological assessments to students.
Dr. Penny Corkum, a registered psychologist in the Province of Nova Scotia and the coordinator of the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. Program at Dalhousie University in Halifax, will provide assessment services for the School. Melissa McGonnell, M.Sc., who is registered in the doctoral program at Dalhousie University's Department of Clinical Psychology, will assist Dr. Corkum.
Landmark East also contracts Wendy Thompson, a registered Speech-Language Pathologist in the province of Nova Scotia, to conduct this aspect of the assessment.
Fees for the following types of assessments are as follows:
Psychological Assessment - $1,800:
- measure of cognitive functioning
- specific tests of visual and auditory processing
- standardized measures of achievement in reading, spelling, written expression, and mathematics
Psychological & Speech-Language Assessments - $2,100:
- psychological assessment (details listed above)
- assessment of receptive and expressive language skills
- articulation assessment as warranted
- hearing screening as warranted
